Martha Kauppi, MS MFT
Martha has years of experience working with families in transition, issues of health and wellness, and sexuality. Though she only recently obtained her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, her background includes years of providing obstetric and gynecology care and health counseling as a midwife. She has also worked for A Woman's Touch Sexuality Resource Center offering sexual health education and counseling, speaking publicly on a variety of topics relating to sexuality, and teaching counselors and health care providers how to help clients with sexual issues.
In between health care and getting her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Martha worked as an artist specializing in blown and kilnformed glass. During this time she trained to be a Creativity Coach, and now enjoys helping artists, writers, and inventors navigate the complexity of living a creative life.
Currently Martha is working towards certification as a sex therapist with AASECT (American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists) and simultaneously training as a Marriage and Family Therapy supervisor.
